Mecanoo architecten
Architecture Nights: May 17, 2008
Based in Delft, Mecanoo has produced many outstanding projects in architecture and urban planning both domestically and internationally during its 25 years in existence. Founding partner Prof. ir. Francine Houben is opposed to stringent interpretations of her work. For her, architecture is not only about designing a building. The area of her focus is much wider: “Architecture is a combination of various elements, like town and landscape planning and interior design. Mecanoo’s work is characterized by the integration of these disciplines.”
