The 53rd General Meeting of the European Council of Civil Engineers (ECCE) will be held in Malta on the 6th and 7th May 2011. This is a twice yearly event when delegates from Member Organisations of ECCE come together to discuss topics which are relevant at the time and which are of importance to the development of the profession of Civil Engineering. In parallel with this General Meeting the Kamra tal-Periti is organising a Conference with the title "Sustainable Development: Civil Engineering and the Built Environment". This will take place a day before the ECCE General Meeting on the 5th May, 2011. This Conference is expected to attract interest from local and foreign participants and speakers. A Call for Papers has already been made.
